Celebrating Children's Rights

We wish to host an event at Pademelons Playtime for children and their families to celebrate the rights of children to enjoy childhood. Thanks to previous grants over the years we have hired a jumping castle, purchased lollie bags from the local sweet shop and had a face painter.

The Children’s Week National Theme for 2023 is based on UNCRC Article 31: Children have the right to relax, play and take part in activities they enjoy. We would like to replicate all aspects of this theme at our event. This would include setting up outside games and mini stalls such as a fruit salad stall, hire a pop corn maker, and a DIY ice cream sundae stall where children could create their own delicious masterpiece w sprinkles, wafers and sauce (children normally bring their own morning tea so this would be a special treat).
