October is Dress Up Day month at Playgroup Queensland. When role playing, children use their imaginations. Role play encourages children to practice speech and language, share, take turns and cooperate, which contribute to developing their social skills. Imaginative play lets children explore different aspects of their personalities. It better helps them understand and process their own emotions.

During Children�s Week 2021 Playgroup Queensland will host pop-up playgroups to encourage this valuable style of play. We will offer a variety of creative activities and imaginative play activities at a pop-up playgroup in Roma St Parklands. First 5 Forever and Sing&Grow will join us to provide literacy and musical activities too. Each activity on offer will be linked to an article of the UN�s Convention on the Rights of the Child. This event will be inclusive and free to all members of the community.
