With the current climate of the world and to coincide with the theme of this year’s Children’s week, we have chosen to focus on how we can safely connect with others around the world. We are endeavouring to create an international pen pal project at our early childhood centre for the children to become actively involved in. Our goal is for all children to be active participants in the process of finding another childcare centre to join us on our pen pal journey and to share with them drawings, photos and cards to share their views, culture and traditions. It is important that we encourage children to respect their own and other cultures and through the recognition of diversity and difference, we can value everyone equally and ensure children’s rights are promoted effectively.
