We are moving to a new premises as the Neighbourhood House for Malanda, Millaa Millaa and Yungaburra rural townships in Far North Queensland. This will be the first youth space for our area. To celebrate, we’d like to host an afternoon tea in the park opposite the Neighbourhood House for the local Tablelands Youth Movement group to help promote the group to local youths, as well as make contact with parents and children to discuss other options for children, teenagers and families at the Neighbourhood House. The teens from Tablelands Youth Movement have been consulted about the possibility of this picnic and they agreed it was a fantastic idea to promote their group, our space, and the Neighbourhood House in general. If we have this picnic, they will assist in handing out information flyers and speaking with other teens, parents and on the day.
