Vacant Positions

Paid positions:

Engagement Officer (designed for a young person aged 16-18 years old)

This role is designed for a young person aged 16-18 years. The role of the Engagement Officer is to advise and support the Executive, assist with delivering Children’s Week and promote and generate awareness of the rights of children as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Volunteer positions:

The Children’s Rights Queensland volunteer Executive Team are looking to appoint four volunteers to various positions to complement the current team skillset.  Meetings of the Executive will be held every 6-8 weeks.

Communications Lead

The role of the Communications Lead is to oversee and guide digital communications, promoting the rights of children as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Communications Lead will work in partnership with the Projects and Experience Officer and Executive to develop content, newsletters and promotional materials for Children’s Rights Queensland.

Child Rights Lead

The role of the Child Rights Lead is to advocate for child rights as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Child Rights Lead will work in partnership with the Projects and Experience Officer and Executive providing advice around child rights policy and supporting the establishment of a Child Rights Network for Children’s Rights Queensland.

Community Engagement Lead

The role of the Community Engagement Lead is to facilitate meaningful engagement and interaction between CRQ, children, families, communities, and various stakeholders. This role will play a crucial role in raising awareness about children’s rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and organising and supporting Children’s Week events.
