Queensland Family & Child Commission

The Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) works collaboratively with government and non-government partners, including families and communities themselves, to help ensure young Queenslanders grow up in safe and inclusive environments where they are valued and supported to reach their full potential.

Play Matters Australia

For almost 50 years, PlayMatters Australia has been supporting families with children from birth-to-five years with the best start by providing their parents and caregivers with skills and confidence to guide and support their child through play. Play Matters Australia's ethos of recognising parents and caregivers as a child’s first teacher is embedded in all programs.

NAPCAN

NAPCAN is Australia’s first secular not-for-profit organisation to focus entirely on the prevention of child abuse and neglect before it starts. They aim to help children, young people and their families by enabling everyone in society to play a part in keeping children safe and well. This is done by influencing social change, enabling communities to act locally and maximising organisational capacity.

C&K Childcare & Kindergarten

Established in 1907, C&K is proud to be the largest and longest established provider of community based early childhood education and care services in Queensland. Their philosophy, where children come first, emphasises the fact that for C&K the interests of children are paramount. Any profits generated from our services are returned to benefit children and the community.

Deception Bay Community Youth Programs

A community based organisation that has provided activities and services for young people, children and families in Deception Bay since 1994. DBCYP believe that the Deception Bay community can only benefit from active participation from all who live and work there. An ongoing investment in people’s social and emotional well being will inevitably lead to a healthier, happier community.

Children's Week Council of Australia

The Children’s Week Council of Australia is responsible for encouraging and supporting participation of all States and Territories in Children’s Week. Children’s Week is an annual event celebrated in Australia in October. A diverse range of events and activities are organised and these focus the attention of the wider community on children, their rights and achievements.

Goodstart Early Learning

Goodstart was founded on a vision of giving children the best possible start in life through access to quality early learning. In 2009, a consortium of leading community sector organisations – The Benevolent Society, Mission Australia, the Brotherhood of St Laurence and Social Ventures Australia – came together to initiate the formation of Goodstart.

Autism Queensland

Autism Queensland provides specialised education, therapy and support services for people of all ages on the autism spectrum and their families. They are one of Queensland's longest serving and most experienced agencies in the delivery of early childhood services, education and training, therapy and accommodation services.

Daniel Morcombe Foundation

The Daniel Morcombe Foundation provides personal child safety education to children and young people to prevent abuse and promote lifelong health and wellbeing. They support educators, parents and carers through the provision of resources and education and also directly support young victims of crime.

Kidsafe Queensland

Kidsafe is an independent, charitable organisation dedicated to the prevention of unintentional death and serious injury to children aged 0–15 years. Kidsafe was established to focus the attention of policy makers and the community at large on the need for improved child safety measures. Kidsafe operates in cooperation with a variety of stakeholders including government, industry, schools, hospitals, the media, community groups, voluntary organisations and individuals.

Save the Children

Save the Children in Queensland has a proud and long history of helping children to reach their full potential. They first began working in Brisbane in 1919, helping children in Eastern Europe recovering from World War I. Today, Save the Children run a range of programs that improve the lives of children in Queensland. From domestic and family violence refuges, which have been running for more than 30 years, to mobile playgroups, each of our programs aims to protect children and prevent abuse and neglect.

CREATE Foundation

CREATE Foundation is the national consumer body representing the voices of children and young people with an out-of-home care experience. They run programs and services across all Australian states and territories for children and young people in foster care, kinship care, and residential care. Their research reports and articles, submissions and policy development allow us to advocate for a better care system.

Sunshine Sign and Sing

Sunshine Sign and Sing is baby and toddler signing for mums, dads, grandparents or anyone who wants to have fun and learn some signs . Sunshine Sign and Sing use key word sign based on Australian sign language alongside speech using songs, games and stories with the aim to enhance communication between children and parents in a fun and friendly environment.

Cheeky Monkey Club

Cheeky Monkey Club is a website designed for teachers and parents that provides them with songs, resources, stories, problem solving content and videos. Cheeky Monkey Club also delivers public performances for children and families in Queensland.

Townsville Family Life

Townsville Family Life is a locally owned online resource for current information on family friendly products, services, groups, community organisations and kids activities in Townsville and surrounding areas. The website and Facebook page connects families with the wider community.
