21 October – 29 October 2023
Children’s Rights Queensland convenes Children’s Week in Queensland. The week takes place in October each year.
Children’s Week is an annual event celebrated in Australia. A diverse range of events and activities are organised at National, State and Local levels to celebrate the rights of children to enjoy childhood and for the wider community to rejoice in their talents, skills and abilities.
In 2023, Children’s Rights Queensland is offering grants to groups and organisations, to help support them to deliver a children’s week celebration or project that raises awareness of children’s rights. Organisations and groups can also register Children’s Week celebrations and projects to go in the draw to win one of three $200 gift cards.
Register your Children’s Week celebration or project before 16 October 2023 to go in the draw to win one of three $200 gift cards.
The Children’s Week National Theme for 2023 is based on UNCRC Article 31.
Children have the right to relax, play and to join in a wide range of leisure activities.
