Event Photography Consent Policy

Purpose

Children’s Rights Queensland (CRQ) is committed to promoting its activities and initiatives through various forms of media. This policy outlines the consent process for capturing and using photographic images, video recordings, and audio materials (collectively referred to as “Digital Resources”) during CRQ events.

Consent

  1. Parental/Guardian Consent: Parents or legal guardians must register for events and agree to this photography policy. This consent allows CRQ to use the Digital Resources for promotional purposes in various media formats, including but not limited to websites, social media, and print materials.

  2. Permission Grant: By granting consent, parents or guardians allow CRQ and its affiliates to capture, edit, and utilise the Digital Resources for promotional, advertising, and archival purposes without any further consent or permission required.

  3. Non-Remuneration: No payment will be provided to parents, guardians, or children for their participation or for the use of the Digital Resources.

  4. Copyright and Intellectual Property: All rights, including copyright, in the Digital Resources will belong solely to CRQ. Parents or guardians assign any intellectual property rights held by them or their child to CRQ.

Opt-Out Option

If you or a member of your group would prefer not to have your photo taken, please inform a CRQ team member at the check-in area. You will receive a wristband or sticker to indicate your preference, and our photographers will respect your wishes and avoid capturing images of you.

Please note that it is your responsibility to obtain a wristband or sticker. CRQ cannot be held liable if you do not receive one and do not wish to have your photo taken.

Thank You!

Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us promote the important work of Children’s Rights Queensland! If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please feel free to reach out to a CRQ representative.
