18oct3:00 pm6:00 pmGracemere Community Family FairThe Gracemere Community Family Fair is in its second year of inviting the Gracemere community and surrounding smaller communities to come together and make connections in a positive environment on common ground for children\\'s needs and achievements. Participating in the event are cultural groups, community hubs, community service providers, support agencies, educational institutions and sporting groups. The Gracemere Community Family Fair recognises that children have special needs in order to help them develop to their full potential therefore the working committee, the Gracemere Early Years network, invites the above listed groups to come along and meet our community families face to face in a fun filled non-threatening environment where these groups offer social and economic support and raise the awareness of parents on the availability of such in developing their child\\'s capabilities. Some organisations will then work with families towards what is best for their child. The Community Family Fair does not discriminate so as to allow children to enjoy childhood and whilst at the Community Fair engage in free creative and cultural activities. Children\\'s groups have also been invited to partake in the Community Family Fair where children will demonstrate their talents, skills and abilities. The Gracemere Community Family Fair provides opportunities for several of the rights contained in the Convention on the Rights of the Child is be touched upon. Those being: the right to live and grow healthy; the right to be safe no matter where you are; the right to get an education; and the right to play and have fun.
