Children’s Rights Queensland is calling on Queensland children to help us add numbers and letters to our TypeRights Font!
What is the TypeRights font?
Children’s Rights Queensland is calling on children across the state to help us to expand the number of letters in our TypeRights Font and create some numbers! We want Queenslanders aged under 18 years old to design and submit ideas. The font will be used on all sorts of things, such as children’s picture books, posters, booklets and our website. There’s lots of prizes for winning designs.

How to enter the competition!
What you need to do
- Choose your favourite number or letter. This could be a number or letter that is special to you!
- Take a look at the inspiration page in the downloadable explainer booklets above, then design your number or letter (in upper or lower case) on an A4 sheet of paper.
- Upload your design.
Who can enter?
Entrants must be aged between 3 and 18 years and be a resident of Queensland. (Please note that proof of age and residency may be required if your submission is selected). Group designs are accepted.
Winners
Children’s Rights Queensland will select designs for each number and a selection of new letters. The selected letters and numbers will be digitally designed and added to the official TypeRights font which will appear on future Children’s Rights Queensland communications and resources.
Winning number and letter designs: Selected designs will receive a merchandise package (t-shirt, sticker etc.) with their letter printed on the items! They will also receive a certificate and can opt to have their name credited on our website.
