The Challenge
The Young Leaders Challenge is targeted at high school aged students that show leadership potential. This is a FREE program developed by the Children’s Rights Queensland and its professional network.
Program features:
Short online training units for students to complete in their own time
Resources to assist students complete their projects
Opportunities for students to engage with their community as a leader
Experience for students with leadership potential
At the completion of the program students are presented with a badge and certificate.

The Young Leaders Challenge aims to empower high school aged children to lead and engage others in initiatives that support the rights, needs and accomplishments of children.
Target
High school students (years 9 – 12).
Purpose
The Young Leaders Challenge has been designed to:
Promote the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)
Encourage children to step up and take on a leadership role in their community
Acknowledge the skills and achievements of children
Appointment
High school age children across Queensland will need to apply online to take part in the program. The Leadership Program Committee will assess all applications and notify successful applicants.
