Dinosaur Bone-Anza

Our event will be a family evening and take place on (insert date) at the Yorkeys Knob Community Hall. It will feature our dinosaur program, “Dinosaur Bone-Anza”, and a sausage sizzle for families to enjoy.

Our dino-themed, interactive, educational experience, “Dinosaur Bone-Anza”, takes children back in time to discover the prehistoric era, learning about dinosaurs, paleontology and fossils. Our program features three components:

1. Dino Dana – The Movie: We start our session by viewing Dino Dana – The Movie. This initiative, supported by the Canadian government, takes children on a prehistoric adventure. The 25-minute movie features Dana, a 10-year-old girl who goes on a mission to find out where all the kid dinos are.

2. Dinosaur bones – Mission excavation: Children are invited to become budding paleontologists as they explore our dinosaur bones foam set. Comprising 160 pieces, this open-ended play experience boasts infinite play opportunities while children “excavate” and assemble dinosaur bones to create existing or made-up species.

3. Fossil-making workshop: In our tough tray, children are invited to make their own creations with air-dry clay, be it fossil printing, creating clay dinosaurs or reimagining a dino landscape!
