Families in Focus

On Monday Oct 23rd and Tuesday Oct 24th as part of Children’s Week, CHQ will host a unique research event at the “top of the stairs” entry to Queensland Children’s Hospital on level 2.

This event will include six fun and interactive activities for the whole family, and will give children, parents, and caregivers the opportunity to share experiences and perspectives on caring for children with a disability.

The idea behind this event is to learn more from children and families with lived experience of a disability. We want to hear from children and their families. The information we get from children and their families will be used to work out the key areas that we, as researchers and clinicians, need to focus on.

We are also keen to hear from anyone else who has ideas or perspectives that will help us improve the lives of children with disability and their families.  

This event is open to anyone who wishes to take part (voluntary).
