I’d like to invite some local school children from a very small school to enjoy a picnic in our new community garden. There would be a tour of the garden, which is a demonstration site teaching food security and resilience in the tropics, with information about what we’re growing, why, and how. We will have cuttings and seeds for the children, and goodie bags to take home with educational materials about the Neighbourhood House and its services, and gardening (specifically food production). Children will also be invited to stay for a healthy morning tea (provided).
