Inclusion Dress Up Party

A party to celebrate all children in the community, Children’s Week, and Play Matters 50th birthday in an inclusive fun space. The party will be an opportunity for children and families to meet others in the community, to dress up, engage in a Play Connect + Sing and Grow Music Session, take part in activities provided by Play Matters community playgroups, Play Matters Active Inclusion team, and Down Syndrome Queensland. All the activities will engage the imagination, and celebrate inclusivity. The event will be set up as a party with a children’s entertainer doing face paint, balloon twisting, There will also be a quiet space for children and families to rest and restore. The Inclusion party will also provide families with information about the inclusive playgroups that are available to them and information on Children’s Rights. The inclusion dress up party will aim to provide this feeling – “Diversity is being invited to the party: inclusion is being asked to dance.” Verna Myers
